UG Krishnamurti

If you’ve followed this work for any period of time, you’ll know that I recommend listening to UG Krishnamurti. His humour and personality are fantastic. More importantly, the guy was in a very expanded state.

The majority cannot handle his level of Truth and realness.

Watch the video of him below.

    Hey Alex,

I’ve been listening to and reading quite a lot of UG, and found him to be a powerful iconoclast. Finally I read his “swansong”, written down just before his death. In it, UG refers to Anandamayi Ma as “a genuine article”.

I’m rather confused by this, UG rejected everything, Gurus, Enlightenment, and culture in general, then at the end of his life endorsed a Hindu Saint? Did he change his mind somewhat?

      Hi Cory
I’d never read ‘swan song’ until you mentioned it here, thank you for the reference. (http://ugkrishnamurti.net/ugkrishnamurti-net/SWAN_SONG.htm – link for anyone interested)

A couple of quotes that stood out to me – “I brushed aside everything born out of human thought. Everything they told me falsified me. And what you are trying to get you can never get, because there is nothing to get.”

“The demand for permanence — permanent relationships, permanent happiness, and permanent bliss — in any field and in any area of human existence is the cause of human misery. There is nothing to permanence.”

What I take from the Anandamayi Ma comment is that a similar physiological change took place in her as she ‘disposed of’ culture and conditioning, similar to UG’s experience. That’s why I believe he says ‘genuine article’. Either way, I wouldn’t get too hung up on it. The mind will grasp onto ideas and theories ending in a loop of questions and answers to nowhere.
